Nick Millington - bouzouki

Nick Millington first became seriously interested in Greek music in 1989 whilst working in Kalambaka in Thessaly, a small town nestling in the hills of the famous Meteora with its monasteries. At that time the Koka Roka taverna was the meeting place for many of the areas best musicians and singers. Nick was priviliged to sit in and play guitar - a seminal experience. Bitten by the bug he bought a bouzouki!

Nick has played and studied bouzouki in Greece at various times, playing with Kostas Monias in tavernas in Hydra and Pireaus. He is also a part-time member of the Ad-Hoc Rebetiko Band based in London.

Nick also plays bouzouki with the Medieval/world-music band Compagnie Giulia based in Totnes, and plays ceilidh music with the band Hogwash.
