David Stanley - guitar

David Stanley first came across Greek music when he spent a year working in Cyprus. Although fascintated by the sounds of the local bands, he did not make any attempt to study the music at this time as he was working on classical & flamenco guitar styles.

After Cyprus, David spent two years working in the Trucial Oman and the West Aden Protectorate on various mapping schemes. During this period he heard a lot of Arabic music and had a few lessons on the oud in Bahrein.

David met Nick & Collette in 2006 and was invited to join Ta Filia shortly afterwards.
