ELIZA JACOBS : artist and musician

Eliza Jacobs has been drawing & painting since a child when her horse drawings won national competitions. She studied at Dartington College of Arts and with Cecil Collins at the Central School of Art, London.

Eliza was involved in an arts project in Luxemburg that created a garden for the handicapped. She is interested in music & art as a form of healing.

Eliza Jacobs plays electric cello with small groups of improvising dancers, singers and electronic musicians. She is currently involved in recording a CD.

Eliza lives in the Dartmoor National Park and also spends time in her studio in the Alpujarras of Southern Spain.

Eliza Jacobs works with David Stanley to create animations. They also perform regularly on electric cello & guitar. They have had several pieces wtitten for them by the composer Al Summers.
